So people have been wondering why he is asking us to help him get a new car. Well, after he tweeted the picture I started the following conversation with him.
The point of showing you that wasn't to toot my own horn, but to show that it wasn't his idea to do it. I encouraged him to do it, and if you watch the video, he's very sheepish about it. Others like Crazed Clay have posted similar conversations, but he's really in a bind.
In the Smoking Tire Podcast, as people have said previously, the guys over at RCR said that they are barely making even with the money they get from YouTube. They have a huge amount of debt, and this really is a tough spot for this guy, not only because he is unable to make the video, but because he doesn't have a car right now.
This guy provides many of us with free entertainment, at huge cost to his time and resources. I think he is worthy of a spare $10-20 of ours.
